Entrepreneur & Angel Investor
In 2009, after early setbacks (including 4 arrests while in College at FSU) and at age 24, Sam moved from the USA to the UK and founded the electronic cigarette company, SKYCIG. Sam bootstrapped the company initially out of the back of a rental car, and grew it into Europe’s largest e-cig brand in the course of 4 years. In 2013, SKYCIG was acquired by Lorillard Tobacco (NYSE:LO) for $100m, and rebranded Blu Cig.
He continues to work in start-ups (currently Founder and CEO of Coworker.com) and as an investor. His investment portfolio includes 400 self storage units in Hong Kong, a micro-brewery in Australia, rental condos across Thailand, and several early stage angel investments. It was his new journey into the investment world with the limitless strategies and emerging asset classes that led he and Johnny to start the Invest Like a Boss Podcast. Sam has visited more than 100 countries while living off passive income and pursuing his bucket list.
